Early Life

Started swimming at the age of 7 years old after being fond of water from the age of 18 months. I started off with Germiston Swimming Club where I later moved to Mustangs Swimming Club with my coach Craig Jackson a well know coach in South Africa. I spent my school years training twice a day of average 2 hours in the morning and afternoon in the pool and an hour on dry land doing core workouts and stretches. My favorite distances were the Open water swims (Midmar Mile and others Such as Germiston 1200 and Makulu swim which i use to win) and Prestige racing in middle distance Freestyle and Backstroke. 

Swimming was my life and dreamed to make the Olympic team in 2008 which i had qualified to join the Elite squad, but shortly after in my Matric year my swimming career came to a stop due to heart conditions and medical issues where doctors said i should stop all sport. After a 6 year break and wanting nothing to do with swimming, I decided to get back into the pool where my life changed and now im going for new goals with the famous saying…life’s too short for one sport! 

Personal Life

My family have been by my side through everything. I have them to thank for the person i am today. My parents and my brother - could not have asked for better. They are the most amazing people in my life.

Career 

I started my own company two years ago called Novateur Eventz which is an event supplier company where we supply events with Photography, Audio and Visual, Videography and more. My line of work is mostly in the sporting world and i have worked at events such as 94.7 Cycle Challenge as MC and Great train race and many more. I enjoy my work even though it cuts my social life and takes my weekends away. I wouldn't change it for anything. As an extra I photograph Endurance Horse Racing, and have become well known among the riders as i enjoy the adventure behind trying to get better shots and be more creative.
